Project Description
RWE Design Build partnered with KCK9 Orthopedics to expand its specialized veterinary facility in Shawnee, Kansas. Completed several years after the original space, the 2,764-square-foot expansion was designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing clinic while supporting the practice’s growing orthopedic services.
The new space includes exam rooms, treatment and surgical areas, sterilization support, staff workspaces, and a dedicated gait analysis runway used to evaluate a dog’s mobility and recovery following surgery. Matching finishes, materials, and custom millwork maintain a consistent experience throughout the facility while improving workflow, visibility, and operational efficiency.
Thoughtful features such as a custom treatment tower, specialized sterilization storage, acoustic office elements, and a dual-sided dog run help the veterinary team deliver highly focused orthopedic care in a functional, welcoming environment.
