Our Initiative
Giving Back to the Organizations That Care for Animals Every Day
Launched in 2025, RWE Cares is RWE Design Build’s charitable giving initiative focused on supporting organizations that protect, house, treat, and rehome animals. Each year, we select one animal shelter, humane society, or animal control facility to receive a charitable donation that helps advance its mission and serve the animals and communities that depend on it.

How RWE Cares Works
Submit an Application
Tell us about your organization, the services you provide, and how the donation would make an impact.
Our Team Reviews Applications
RWE reviews eligible submissions based on organizational need, community impact, and how the donation would be used.
One Organization Is Selected
Each year, one qualifying animal shelter, humane society, or animal control facility is selected to receive the RWE Cares donation.
Eligibility
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Applications are open to qualifying organizations that provide animal sheltering, welfare, or control services, including:
- Public and private animal shelters
- Humane societies
- Municipal animal control facilities
- County or city-operated animal care facilities
- Nonprofit animal welfare organizations
Applicants should be in good standing and able to clearly explain how the donation would support their animals, programs, facility, or community.

RWE Cares allows us to extend that commitment by supporting the shelters, humane societies, and animal control facilities working every day to protect animals and serve their communities.

Apply for the RWE Cares Annual Donation
Tell us about your organization, the animals and communities you serve, and how an RWE Cares donation could make a meaningful difference. The application is designed to be simple and should take approximately five to ten minutes to complete.
Submitting an application does not guarantee funding. RWE Design Build will contact the selected organization directly after the review process is complete.
